Professional Knowledge

Standard 1.

As a music teacher, I place a high value on getting to know my students and their distinct learning methods and interests. This enables me to create a safe and supportive environment where students can take risks and freely express themselves. Collaboration and peer learning are promoted in the classroom to foster a sense of community.

Standard 2.

My extensive knowledge of music enables me to create exciting and fruitful lesson plans that adapt to a variety of learning types. I ensure that all students can access and enjoy the learning process by using a variety of teaching strategies and tools.

Professional Practice

Standard 3.

When preparing and implementing lessons, I make sure that they are relevant and linked with the curriculum and the needs of the pupils. In order to monitor student development and adapt my teaching tactics and provide on-going assessments. I provide opportunities for student feedback and reflection which fosters active learning and self-awareness.

Standard 4.

By modelling respect, empathy, and inclusivity, I create a good and helpful learning atmosphere. Clear behaviour expectations and rules are established, and positive behaviours are reinforced. I encourage students to have a sense of belonging and mutual respect and I provide them with opportunities for leadership and participation.

Professional Engagement

Standard 6.

As a committed professional, I am committed to further professional learning and development to improve my teaching practice and stay current on the latest research and trends in music education. To improve my knowledge and abilities I attend workshops, conferences, and training sessions. I actively seek feedback from colleagues on best practices and ideas. For example courses and sessions. Standard 7.

It is crucial to maintain professional ties with colleagues, parents, and the larger community. In light of this, I  contact parents and guardians on regular basis; thus involving them in their child's learning.
